Brüel & Kjær - Type 8104

The Type 8104 from Brüel & Kjær is a reference hydrophone that can be used to calibrate other projectors and hydrophones. For this purpose, it is hooked up to the existing charge amplifier TYPE 2635 via the 10 m long cable and connected to an I/O interface via the BNC output. As supply voltage either three standard 1.5 V batteries, 6-28 V single polarity power supply, or regulated +-14 V power supply is needed.

Sensitivity

A typical sensitivity of –205 dB re 1 V/μPa over a bandwidth of 0,1 Hz bis 120 kHz (+4/−12,0 dB) can be achieved. Further details can be found at the website of Brüel & Kjær.
