Reson TC4033-6

The TC4033-6 is a transducer that can be used both as a projector and as a hydrophone. In the presented scenario, the case of the projector is described. For this purpose, the TC4033-6 is connected to the power amplifier MD MK1 via the 20 m long cable. This is operated with 230 V main voltage and has an amplification factor of X dB. The transmit signal is fed in via a RCA input and can be activated via the enable switch. The input signal must not exceed an amplitude of 1Veff, otherwise non-linear distortion will occur. Additionally, the amplifier offers the option to monitor both the current and 1/10 of the voltage via the control connection at the front.

Sensitivity

A typical transmit sensitivity of 144 dB ±2 dB re 1μ Pa/V at 1m at 100 kHz with a linear bandwidth of 1 Hz to 80 kHz can be achieved. Further details and sensitivity curves can be found at the website of Teledyne Marine.
