Reson TC4014-5

The Reson TC4014-5 is a hydrophone used for reference measurements. It has a very flat frequency response over a large frequency range and can be used from 15 Hz to 480 kHz. The existing cable has a length of 10 m and can be connected directly to the existing amplifier Reson EC6076. It contains a battery and supplies power to the 26 dB preamplifier in the hydrophone. The amplifier has additionally the possibility of different gain factors in addition to the 26 dB and ranges from 0 dB to 20 dB. Then either the raw signal can be fed to the I/O interface via the XLR connector as a balanced signal or the amplified signal variant via the BNC connector. The second option has an addionional gain of 6 dB.

Sensitivity

A typical sensitivity of -186 dB ±3 dB re 1V/μPa over a bandwidth of 25 Hz to 250 kHz ±3dB can be achieved. This includes the 26 dB gain of the pre-amplifier in the TC4014-5 itself. Further details and sensivity curves can be found at the website of Teledyne Marine.
