QuSpin QZFM Gen-2

Ultra-sensitive zero-field magnetometer that operates in low field environments. This sensor type is smaller than the Gen-1 counterpart. It can be used only together with the corresponding QZFM electronics. The electronics module can operate with an 18 V or 19 V power supply. We have one magnetometer with corresponding individualized electronics available. Typically, you can find them within the shielded chamber.

Sensitivity

The sensitivity depends on the selected output gain factor within the electronic module. The default [1x] setting corresponds to 2.7 V/nT, the [0.33x] to 0.9 V/nT, and [3x] to 8.1 V/nT.

Calibration

Currently, no calibration procedures are available.

Equalization

The amplitude response of this OZFM sensor type is comparable to the Gen-1 type.

Typical Use Cases

Typically, the analog sensor output of the OPM electronics is connected to our 24-Bit A/D converter (NI 9239) for recording purposes, because the internal available DAQ only supports a 16-Bit resolution.

Hint: For optimal A/D input level make use of the gain factor [3x] for small magnetic signals (pT/fT-range).
