C57

The C57 is a hydrophone specifically designed to record sound signals from marine mammals. It has an 4 m long cable and can be connected directly to an I/O interface through the attached jack connector. It requires a 9 V block battery for operation, which can be easily connected. Thus, it is very quickly ready for use and can be launched directly from board into the water.

Sensitivity

A typical sensitivity of -167dB re 1V/μPa over a bandwidth of 15Hz to 45kHz ±3dB can be achieved. This includes the pre-amplfier inside the C57 itself. Further details and sensivity curves can be found at the website of Cetacean.
