CAU ME Exchange Bias
The exchange bias ME sensor in direct detection mode is normally used in application where a limited bandwidth is required (localization purposes, movement detection). The cantilever sensing element has a size of 3 mm x 1 x mm 0.1 mm. The sensor is connected to a low-noise JFET (junction-gate-field-effect transistor) charge amplifier. Due to the exchange biasing of the sensor, there is no need for an additional coil generating a magnetic bias field. The sensor is normally operated in direct detection and the output signal of the sensor system, including the charge amplifier, will be taken into account.
Sensitivity
The typical used sensitivity for this particular sensor is 63 kV/T. In the following the amplitude response is provided.
In the following the equalized noise amplitude spectral density is provided.
In the following the input-output relation is depcited:
Calibration
Currently, no calibration procedures are available.
Equalization
Currently, no equalization data is available.
Typical Use Cases
For sensor operation special power supply boxes with special batteries are available. Typically the analog sensor output is connected to a 24-Bit DAQ (Audio Interface, NI 9239) for recording purposes.
