Behringer B-5

The single-diaphragm sensor B-5 from Behringer is a condensor microphone. It can be used with either an interchangeable cardioid or an omnidirectional capsule. The microphone requires phantom power (+48 V) for operation. We have about 30 of these microphones. Typically, you can find them in the audio lab if they are in use or in the upper part of cupboard 1 in the PhD room in the "garage".

Sensitivity

A typical open-circuit sensivity of -38 dBV re 12.6 mV/Pa at 1 kHz for cardioid characteristic and -40 dBV re 10 mV/Pa for omnidirectional characteristic can be achieved. The frequency response is defined for 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Further details and sensivity curves can be found at the website of Behringer or in our Git repository.
