Aichi Steel MI Sensor MI-CB-1DJ

High-sensitive magneto-impedance sensor that could operate in earth’s magnetic field. The available analog output could be directly connected to a DAQ (soundcard or NI card). For operation an additional power supply of 15 V is required (max supply voltage: 20 V).

Note: There are other MI sensors available at the TF, but with other specifications (smaller supported bandwidth). Therefore, take care about the used sensor type!

Sensitivity

The typical sensitivity given by the manufacturer is 5 V/uT. The empirically determined sensitivity is depicted below.

Calibration

Currently, no calibration procedures are available.

Equalization

Currently, no equalization are available.

Typical Use Cases

Typically the analog sensor output is connected to a 24-bit DAQ (audio interface, NI 9239) for recording purposes.
